Archive | Smithsonian-Wright Agreement of 1948 (Smithsonian “Contract”)

This signed, contractual agreement forces Smithsonian and all its affiliates to recognize only Orville Wright and the Wright Flyer of 1903 as “first in powered flight.”

Orville Wright was determined to be recognized as "first in flight", he spent many decades to gain this false credit.
